How do I get to Orchid Resort Dominica?
Fly into Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) on Dominica. We arrange comfortable airport transfers for $80 USD — the drive takes about 1 hour through the beautiful island interior. You can also arrive by ferry from Guadeloupe or Martinique to the Roseau port — the drive from Roseau to the resort takes about 1 hour, and we can arrange a transfer for you.
What types of apartments do you offer?
We offer five self-catering apartments ranging from 50 to 80 m². Three apartments have ocean views, one has a garden view, and one has a pool view. Each apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with toaster and kettle, private bathroom with hair dryer and basic toiletries, spacious terrace, ceiling fans and standing fans, and free WiFi. Apartments 3 and 4 can be connected for families or groups. Our larger apartments (80 m²) can accommodate an extra bed for a third guest.
Is Orchid Resort suitable for families with children?
Absolutely! Our resort offers a safe, family-friendly environment with a pool, tropical garden, and plenty of space for children to explore. The larger apartments (Ocean Suite 1 & 2) can accommodate an extra bed for $25/night. We're happy to recommend family-friendly beaches and activities nearby.
What is the best time to visit Dominica?
Dominica is a year-round destination with tropical temperatures between 25–32 °C. The dry season runs from January to June, while the wet season (July to November) brings occasional showers but also lush, green landscapes. Whale watching is possible year-round, making any time a great time to visit.
What activities can I do near the resort?
Northern Dominica offers incredible experiences: world-class diving and snorkeling, whale watching, hiking to waterfalls and the famous Boiling Lake, horseback riding through the rainforest, visiting the Kalinago Territory, and relaxing in natural hot springs. Nearby you'll find Purple Turtle Beach, Douglas Bay, Indian River, and Cabrits National Park.
Do you offer breakfast or meals?
We offer breakfast with coffee and tea available every morning in the garden barbecue area. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens for self-catering. Several excellent local restaurants are within a short drive from the resort.
How does booking and check-in work?
You can book directly through our website for the best rates, or contact us via WhatsApp. Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. We personally welcome each guest and provide you with all the information you need for a wonderful stay.
Does the resort have a pool and WiFi?
Yes! Our resort features a beautiful natural stone pool with a waterfall, surrounded by tropical vegetation — available to all guests. Free WiFi is available throughout the resort and garden areas. We also have a shared barbecue area in the garden.
